Deputies: Suspect tried to steal gas from nearby home after car broke down | Crime

WILLIAMS COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) - The Williams County Sheriff's Office says a Defiance man was arrested while trying to steal gasoline from a residence near the Williams County Airport.

Deputies say they saw a vehicle stopped near the intersection of State Route 34/State Route 2 and County Road 16 Saturday afternoon.  When they asked two passengers in the car where the driver had gone, the passengers told deputies they did not know. Deputies say the driver, 29-year-old Michael Rochester of Defiance, was later found trying to steal gasoline from a nearby residence .

Rochester was charged with breaking and entering and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
